Nest Box Making 27/10/2019

Nest boxes are still a very important aspect of our work, simply because the majority of barn owls in Cheshire breed in boxes. We have been placing nest boxes for nearly 20 years now and though we do take the opportunity to erect boxes at new suitable sites, most of the work now is repairing or replacing existing boxes. We cannot foresee a time when our boxes will not be needed so we continually build them, however from time to time we need a bulk build to maintain availability. To achieve this we invite members to help us assemble boxes from pre-cut kits, usually several times a year.
